Design Scholarship

The 2010 Platt College Design Competition is open to current High School seniors scheduled to graduate in 2010, who meet the admissions requirements for Platt College and enroll during the 2010 calendar year. A minimum High School grade point average of 2.0 is required. A minor must have his/her parent’s permission to enter. Applicants are required to submit a complete Entry and Release form, which is available for download at www.PlattCollege.edu. Only submissions that are accompanied by a completed Entry and Release form will be considered. Only one entry is allowed, per applicant.

Each campus will award four (4) scholarships, which will be applicable as a tuition credit at Platt College as follows: $2,500 for Graphic Design Associate of Arts students or $5,000 for Visual Communications Bachelor of Arts students. Tuition scholarships are non-transferrable, and are not redeemable for cash.

All entries must be received at Platt College no later than 5:00pm on Friday, July 2, 2010. Submissions may be made in person or via email to DesignScholarship@PlattCollege.edu. Entries deemed vulgar or offensive will be disqualified. Judging will take place during the week of July 5-9, and winners will be notified thereafter. By accepting the scholarship, the applicant agrees to allow Platt College to use his/her name, address (city and state only), photograph, voice, performance and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation. The winner must maintain a 2.0 grade point average or higher, while a student at Platt College. A grade point average of less than 2.0 will result in loss of the scholarship. Platt College is not responsible for misplaced, incomplete or stolen entries. All entries will become the property of Platt College and will not be returned.
