Platt College encourages international applicants. Platt College is able to accept students with I-20 status or other applicable education visas. Platt College provides additional visa maintenance services as needed to ensure students are able to complete their studies as applicable by law.

Our fast-paced learning environment and professional approach to education is uniquely suited to the goals of our international students. International applicants are encouraged to contact the school and request an application. However, English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are not offered at Platt College.

I-20 Visa Requirements

Before an I-20 is issued (so that a student may apply for an F-1 or M-1 student visa status) the following conditions must be met:

• The foreign student must provide the school with a written application.
• The foreign applicant must also provide the school with transcripts, proof of financial responsibilities for studies and other supporting documents to be received, reviewed and evaluated at the school’s location in the United States. The school should determine if the student has financial support for at least one year by requesting a financial guarantee – i.e. bank statement, sponsoring agency letter, etc. The applicant should indicate how the remaining years would be supported.
• The appropriate school authority must determine that the prospective student’s qualifications must meet all academic standards for admissions. This includes English language proficiency.
• The official responsible for admission to the school must accept the prospective student into a program offering a full course of study. The program of study can be a degree objective or other program of study as long as it is full time. The objective may be short term or long term.
