About Our Programs
In the Visual Communication program at Platt College, you will be trained to start an exciting career in highly specialized areas of visual design.
Our Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication: 3D Animation/Video Specialization includes coursework in architectural 3D, video production, 3D character development, 3D texturing and lighting, advanced 3D animation, and more.
Our Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication: Web Design Specialization includes coursework in all aspects of website design.
Our Multimedia Certificate program provides the opportunity for Graphic Design specialists to build on their existing design skills and be trained in multimedia in just 5 months. (NOTE: The Multimedia Certificate program is currently offered only at the Ontario campus.)

Visual communication involves the communication of ideas through the visual display of information. Professionals in this field use type, illustration, sound, music, photography, and animation to create an effective technical image.
This ever-changing field requires knowledge of multimedia and animation technologies, as well as an understanding of how to apply artistic concepts and design techniques to create visually-appealing projects. Creativity, technical expertise and the right training are essential for success!
As a Visual Communication professional, you will: -Design website pages -Incorporate Flash animation -Create animated images or special effects -Draw storyboards -Participate in video production -Training with sophisticated computer technologies
